Qián-Lí, Heaven-Fire

    

  When Qián activates Lí, the sun descends in the sky, the shadows lengthen. People become anxious, the differences between friend and foe, hunter or prey become more important. For many it is not safe, so they hide who they are, or create a group of peers: security in numbers. All creatures and objects need classes, otherwise the world will become chaos. It is the warp and weft of society, both protection and danger.
  The danger is to get caught in sects or generalisations, in 'us' and 'them'. Don't confuse personal or group rules with the laws of Heaven. They are rules of insecurity, not of safety and balance, like Heaven's laws. You need Fire to deal with this time, situation, or world that has Heaven’s structure. Shine your light on this structure, find the tracks, the differences and similarities between creatures or things or whatever your question is about.
  There are also many who recognize the huge opportunities of this time. There are clear differences but the shadows seem less dark. Many roads that were invisible or scary open up now and the trails of all creatures, of everything, are easy to follow for those who can read them.

  Each line, active or at rest, summons one of the 8 trigrams as a Helper. For an activated line: telling you what you need - or about a problem area or something to avoid.
  For a stationary line: this is what you already have or do or what you don't need. Often we just need a reminder of our abilities. Or it could be what you wish or fear - but will not happen.
  Active lines are the helpers to change things, they listen to intentions, which can come from you, surroundings, or fate. Stationary helpers are part of the core meaning, they are your soul talking, but they also see the impossibilities or what is lacking at the moment. They reinforce the overall power of a reading.
