About flexibility and inflexibility
(or how the context makes a difference)

28.2 yang: A bare poplar tree grows shoots. An old man gets a wife. Nothing that does not bear fruit.
 Make use of interesting chances.

31.2 yin: Affect one's calf. Pitfall. To settle is auspicious.
 Don't react to impulsively.

Lines 28.2 and 31.2 are each others fanyao, like views on the same landscape but from a different side Wind-Mountain and vv. Asking for different (complementary) actions.

28.5 yang: A bare poplar grows foliage. An old woman gets a respectable husband. Without fault, without honor.
 Make use of possibilities.

32.5 yin: Steadying one's character, Determination. Mature women auspicious, young men pitfall.
 Stay aware of the context.

Lines 28.5 and 32.5 are each others fanyao, like views on the same landscape but from a different side, Lake-Thunder and vv. Asking for different (complementary) actions.

Lines 28.2 with 28/5 and also 31/2 with 32.5 are each others qianyao (upside-down). Here are similar actions but in different (complementary) landscapes (context).
What was up, outside or mental, is now down, inside or physical.

See Mirror-index for explanation.

Mirror groups 28.2 and 27.2 are contrasts
(all yang lines of Mirror 28.2 are yin lines in Mirror 27.2 and vv)
Mirror 28.2 is about flexibility and inflexibility.
Mirror 27.2 is about following your heart.
