Yi Jing, Oracle of the Moon

The hexagrams combined
with the Sabian Symbols
and the Stems and Branches

Meaning of 'Day or degree 1': Aquarius Day or degree 1, Sagittarius Day or degree 1, and so on. The hexagrams belong to the moon, the Sabian to the sun, but the sequence might belong to both. The sun and astrology follow the cycle of 12 moons. Day or degree 1 (and hex.3 and 33) are the start of a cycle, either at new moon or when the sun enters a new astrological sign.
The Stems and Branches indicate the sequence of the days, same as the Sabians, but they repeat in every new set of two moons, a yang and a yin moon. In China they count on, even when the first day isn't Jia Zi, but originally they followed the real moon. Day 1 (starting at new moon), day 2 and so on. So what you find on this page is your real moon-phase day.
Stem: the 'element' or 'energy' of your Chinese sign. Branch: the animal which belongs to your Chinese sign. Like Fire 'Dog' or Metal 'Dragon'.
The ten-day week always starts with a 甲 jia day (the hexagrams 3, 13, 23 and so on). The last day of the week is 癸 gui day, on which the oracle was cast for a prediction of the coming 10-day week (hexagrams 2, 12..)
If you want to know what day it is today, then look in the Wannianli, the ten thousand-year calendar (It is also in Joey Yap's book 'The Ten Thousand Year Calendar').
