I Ching, Yijing or Zhou Yi

My experience is that the trigram oracle is very suitable for finding out the potential of 'today' or any situation. For deciding what kind of thing will work extra well.
Three lines, one about what you want, one about the material and one about what you could get done.
This oracle resembles horary astrology. I don't know how much, but in Horary the astrologer reckons with the moment and/or location of the
question. The question is encompassed by the situation, which decides possibilities or impossibilities, cooperation or resistance. In the trigram oracle, the first trigram is the potential of the situation or moment, the second is the question to, or answer of, the spirits.
Question and answer are inseparable: it is the queston or intention that reaches the universe, which responds to it by directing fate. You have to act, but
universe/spirits will assist.
It is a mix of information, advice and fortune-telling.
Trigram numbers:
1 Heaven, 2 Earth,
3 Thunder, 4 Wind,
5 Water, 6 Fire,
7 Mountain, 8 Lake.
