   Speaking out one’s conviction, or holding up one's dignity, can be a dangerous venture, but it is necessary for a clean and healthy heart – and it may also benefit the rest of the world.
   Don’t keep still, but take care. Evaluate the possibilities and if it is necessary. Avoid fighting; there are better ways that give more results. Reckon with people’s ability to understand – or their not being able to. And especially with the reactions of those in power. Nobody will benefit by your losing your head.

 

GUÀI: The character consists of a hand holding up an object: a signet ring or a tablet with the owners credentials. The emperor gave half of a tablet to his trustees. This half was their token of identity and rank.

9 at 3: Vigor in the face has pitfalls. The noble one is very resolute in moving alone. Encountering rain, overwhelmed by soaking, meeting displeasure. Without misfortune.
 To be unique is to be never understood. To be unique is to be alone. You are the only person in the world who can be you, so you have to do it all by yourself. Everyone else will make you something else.

 Above 6: Without crying out. In the end there is a pitfall.
When others trust you or rely on you, you are obliged to be open and straightforward. Tell them your plans, actions or decisions. And be open to theirs. Same goes for yourself and your own tao: listen to universe, do not deceive yourself, forget your own ego. Be open to yourself and to the gods.

9 at 2: Fear and cries in the evening and night. Having a weapon. Do not worry.
 When you prepare yourself, you can defend yourself against attacks, and very often you will not even need to worry about anyone trying to. Even fate has respect for the one who is prepared, and does not easily hit him. When a tribe sets up camp, they post sentries so the rest can sleep.

 9 at 5: Amaranth land. Very resolute. Move central. Without misfortune.  
 Sometimes one cannot afford a wrong decision, and yet a choice has to be made. Then one needs all the powers of action and expression one has, but also it is important to avoid extremes, to weigh carefully all sides.

Initial 9 : Vigor in the advancing toes. Not mastering proceeding one causes misfortune.
Every step is important. It is not just one step in a row of steps, every single one is a Step. Every part should express the whole. One wrong word can ruin a book, one expression can ruin a relation, one thought can ruin a life.

9 at 4: The buttocks without skin. One moves poorly now, leading a goat. Regret goes away. Hearing the words, no belief.
 Giving one’s opinion is not always the wisest thing to do. The decision is yours, but think before acting. Very often an opinion causes only a lot of trouble and nothing else. But having one, it is very difficult to see this.

 'Capital' is wall + seal: government authority.
Line 2. Evening is a picture of the sun between trees. It means nowadays 'not'. The connection between the characters might be different, like: 'Fear and crying in the dark. Weapons, no worry'
Line 3. 'Overwhelmed .. anger': may be 'as if soaking makes angry'.
Line 4. F. Fiedeler comments: " to show one's flesh and lead a sheep" is an expression known in the historic Chronicle `Zhuochuan` meaning to subordinate in order not to face the worst. The sheep was known as a lucky animal. Sheep and goat are the same character, no distinction was made between them.
Line 5. The first character is Amaranth or other edible greens, but with a tiny stroke added: huan, mountain sheep. This line can mean you have to pull up a lot of weeds - or that this is rough terrain. In both cases a difficult land to cultivate, or to make profitable.
